About

My Story
Shiningforge is my attempt to make a mark on the world. i am 16-year-old aspiring game designer. My journey began in early 2021 when I played Pathfinder 2E for the first time and instantly fell in love with the magic of tabletop games. Later, my experience at the RAGEcon annual game design competition confirmed my passion and my goal: to become a professional game designer by creating and publishing 100 games. With support from my dad in marketing, design, and software, I founded Shiningforge as the first step towards this ambitious adventure.

My Mission
At Shiningforge, I aim to create 100 unique games —not just to reach a number but to push myself as a designer and create meaningful experiences for all kinds of players. My goal is to make games that challenge, entertain, and bring people together in hopes of becoming one of the best in the industry.

My Style
I enjoy designing family and party games the most. However, I want to broaden my skill set by creating a wide variety of games that explore different genres and mechanics. I’m not bound by any one style—instead, I want to explore the full spectrum of gaming to keep things exciting and to grow as a designer.

My Audience
I imagine Shiningforge games being enjoyed by a diverse group of players. While my goal is to appeal to all kinds of game lovers—from avid gamers to casual players—I particularly want to design party games that have enough complexity for seasoned gamers but are also simple and family-friendly so everyone, even kids, can play and enjoy together.

Passion and Inspiration
My love for Pathfinder 2E and my early experiences in tabletop gaming have shaped my philosophy as a designer. To me, games are about more than just winning or losing—they’re about building connections and creating memories. I strive to design games that foster a sense of companionship and bring people together, even in a competitive setting. I think this spirit of connection is sometimes lost in modern games, and I want to bring it back.

Community Engagement
Community is at the core of Shiningforge. I plan to build a community-focused company through social media, blog posts, and opportunities for player involvement. I want people to show support, share ideas, and feel like part of the journey. There will also be a subscription program to engage our core fans—those who want to be playtesters, receive free games, get special editions, and become an integral part of the Shiningforge story.

My Vision for the Future
While I may not change the world, my hope is to carve out a place for myself in the world of game design. I want Shiningforge to be a community of supportive players and fellow designers, making games that create joy and bring people together. It’s about building a life doing what I love and sharing that passion with everyone who wants to be a part of it.
